You will stock and rotate products, monitor inventory and expiration dates, receive deliveries, track temps and waste, support product launches and seasonal changes, and collaborate with Culinary, Operations, and vendors

Qualifications

• 4+ years in operations delivering merchandising and customer service programs.
• Bachelor's degree can count for 2 of the 4-year requirement.
• Food safety certification (ServSafe or equivalent) is required.
• Knowledge of local and federal food safety laws and allergen labeling.

Responsibilities

Advertised Compensation: $29.21 to $32.87

Purpose: The Food & Beverage (F&B) Specialist at LAX International Airport, supports the daily execution of grab-and-go food operations by maintaining product availability, freshness, and presentation. This role ensures displays are fully stocked, compliant, and visually appealing to enhance the traveler experience.

Essential Functions:

• Stocks and rotates grab-and-go products according to freshness and presentation standards
• Monitors inventory levels and communicates replenishment needs to management
• Receives and verifies deliveries, ensuring accuracy and proper storage

• Maintains clean, organized, and visually appealing displays
• Provides exceptional customer service by assisting customers with questions, recommendations, and product information

Reporting Relationship & Role Information:

• The F&B Specialist typically reports to the F&B Manager
• This position as described falls under the Fair Labor Standards Act as a Non-Exempt position
• This role requires flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays due to business needs and flight schedules

Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Work Environment:

• Education and Experience: The combination of education and professional experience must exceed 4 years:
  • In a technical role: Requires 4 years of operations experience engaged in delivering merchandising and customer service programs
  • A bachelor's degree can count for 2 of the 4-year requirement
  • Requires food safety certification (ServSafe or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of local and federal food safety laws, city/county health inspection requirements, and documentation practices
  • Understanding of allergen labeling, handwashing protocols, and cross-contamination procedures
• Specialized Skillset/Competencies/Traits:
  • Knowledge of inventory control and stock rotation; proficient in inventory and stock management systems
  • Basic financial and P&L awareness (labor, waste, shrink)
  • Able to review sales, waste, and inventory data to identify improvement opportunities
  • Direct and proactive communicator who provides exceptional customer service
  • Business acumen with operations mindset required to understand the long-term implications of merchandising, inventory management, and customer experience planning to advance organizational goals
  • Demonstrated history of understanding the needs of F&B and retail business operations, brand partners, landlord stakeholders, the associate population, and individual store circumstances
  • Demonstrated history of creating and maintaining positive work environments
