Job summary

Ascent Hospitality is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Food & Beverage to lead service staff across Restaurants, Lounges/Bars, and Banquets. You will ensure top guest service, safe operations, and financial goals are met during operating hours while maintaining a clean environment.

You will manage dining rooms, trains, and schedules, collaborate with chefs for menus and pricing, and drive sales through promotions and events to maximize guest satisfaction and repeat business.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ management experience in the hospitality industry in food and beverage.
• High School education is required.
• Some college education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages service aspects in all food and beverage areas and events.
• Oversees dining rooms, lounges, bars and catering events for proper setup.
• Ensures staff uniform adherence to company appearance standards.
• Hires, trains, and develops staff in technical and non-technical areas.
• Creates and distributes weekly staff schedules and communicates changes.
• Coordinates with service and kitchen teams on reservations and events.
• Leads pre-shift and pre-event meetings with required staff.
• Monitors performance and administers disciplinary actions per policy.
• Maintains beverage and china/glassware inventories quarterly.
• Acts as Manager on Duty and controls costs through P&L awareness.
