Job summary

HMSHost is seeking an F&B Health & Safety Manager to support and reinforce our safety culture across branches and plazas in the United States. You will monitor regulations, drive health and safety audits, and develop corrective actions to prevent non-compliance.

The role requires strong collaboration with QA, Risk Management, and HR to maintain documentation and training programs. Responsibilities include daily unit visits, training delivery, and coordinating with local health departments.

Qualifications

• High School Degree required.
• Five or more years of Food and Workplace Safety experience within the restaurant industry.
• OSHA and ServSafe Certification or able to complete certifications within 30 days of hire.
• ServeSafe Manager Certification (8 hours).
• ServSafe Responsible Alcohol or state required training (2 hours).
• ServeSafe Allergens or state required training (1.5 hours).
• OSHA #7505 Introduction to Incident (Accident) Investigation (7.5 Hours).
• MIT 1 Food Safety.
• MIT 1 Workplace Safety.
• Comprehensive HAZMAT/BBP.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain knowledge of federal, state, and local sanitary, safety, and health regulations and advise QA and Risk Management of changes.
• Ensure unit-level compliance with health and safety regulations at each unit.
• Review and manage Workers' Compensation and General Liability claims to analyze trends.
• Build relationships with local/state health departments for regulatory guidance.
• Identify root causes of deficiencies and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Visit units daily to observe behaviors and verify health and safety protocol adherence.
• Inspect units to ensure PPE usage and report maintenance needs to leadership.
• Ensure OSHA postings and related signage are visible and up to date.
• Train associates on health and safety protocols and obtain signoffs.
• Collaborate with HR/Leadership to maintain required documentation.
• Participate in QA and Risk Management trainings and webinars.
• Manage ServSafe certification and training processes.
• Chair the Safety Team and encourage participation.
