Job summary

HMSHost is seeking a Food Service Manager to oversee multiple restaurants within a designated zone. You will ensure restaurants are clean, staffed, and open for business while upholding high standards in operations and finances.

The role requires leading GMs, scheduling, coaching staff, and driving engagement. You will report to the Sr/Director of Operations and support brand initiatives, safety, and compliance across the zone.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years managing multiple units in a zone with 8–10 years total restaurant exp.
• Graduation from a Food Service Management or Culinary program may substitute for time.
• Ability to speak, read and comprehend menus and brand standards.

Responsibilities

• Open/close shift oversight and ensure daily opening/closing checklists.
• Schedule managers to ensure on-site leadership during all hours.
• Coach staff and promote employee engagement within the zone.
• Hire/terminate/promote staff in the zone and promote HMSHost as an employer of choice.
• Monitor financial/operational data and adjust staffing to meet zone goals.
• Collaborate with DO/Sr. DO on strategy and communications.
• Oversee training, onboarding, and regulatory compliance for restaurant staff.
