ACCESS | MANAGEMENT ∙ REALTY ∙ MAINTENANCE ∙ LIFESTYLE is seeking a Food & Beverage Controller to oversee financial performance, reporting, and internal controls for F&B operations across HOA communities and amenity facilities in Central or Southwest Florida.

You will manage monthly P&L, balance sheets, cost control, budgeting, and variances for restaurants, bars, cafés, catering, and banquet services, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in resident dining programs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial reporting and accounting functions for food & beverage operations across assigned communities.
• Prepare and analyze monthly profit and loss statements, balance sheets, revenue reports, and operational financial summaries.
• Monitor revenue, expenses, gross profit margins, and operating performance against budgets and forecasts.
• Reconcile food and beverage sales, POS transactions, credit card settlements, daily deposits, and GL accounts.
• Review POS reports to verify sales activity, discounts, voids, refunds, complimentary items, and other adjustments.
• Review financial records for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting procedures.
• Identify financial discrepancies, unusual spending patterns, and opportunities to improve performance.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, audits, and reporting requirements.
• Assist in developing annual F&B operating budgets and forecasts.
• Monitor costs (food, beverage, labor) and other controllable operating expenses.
• Analyze COGS, gross margins, labor cost percentages, and departmental performance.
• Establish and monitor benchmarks to evaluate venue performance across communities.
• Partner with leaders to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising service or resident satisfaction.
• Review expenditures, vendor invoices, PO's, and expense allocations for accuracy and authorization.
• Investigate variances and develop corrective action plans.
• Utilize POS and reporting data to identify sales trends and opportunities for revenue.
