Job summary

Actalent is seeking an experienced Food and Beverage Construction Project Manager to oversee complex projects in the food manufacturing sector. The role requires a strong background in construction management, engineering, and contract oversight to ensure successful project delivery.

The position focuses on developing contracting strategies, managing RFPs and bids, reviewing contracts, and coordinating day-to-day client relationships across engineering services, CM, and design-build activities.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in construction project management.
• Experience in food and beverage construction, cheese or dairy.
• Familiar with Primavera or Procore project management systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop contracting strategies aligned with project goals.
• Prepare RFPs, facilitate bidding, evaluate bids, and recommend awards.
• Review client contracts, assess risks, and support performance management.
• Assist with owner and engineer/contractor negotiations.
• Coordinate preliminary engineering services based on project stage.
• Serve as day-to-day client contact for engineering services.
• Support bidding and selection for CM, design-build, and multi-prime services.
• Monitor estimating activities and communicate risks to clients.
• Assist with GMP negotiations and reconcile bids with estimates.
