Job summary

Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to develop hardware for the F-35 program. You will design with Catia V5, manage BOMs and requirements, and drive from concept through testing to production, coordinating with suppliers and internal teams.

The role requires experience in mechanical/hardware design, MIL-STD-810 testing involvement, and the ability to work in a collaborative, on-site environment with potential travel to support classified activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Mechanical Engineering or in a related discipline.
• Understanding of mechanical design philosophy and design process flow
• Experience in mechanical design projects
• Experience in Catia or Solidworks, or similar toolsuites

Responsibilities

• Create new designs using Catia v5 and manage hardware documentation for F-35 program.
• Drive hardware development from concept to on-aircraft testing and verification.
• Provide post-delivery technical assistance to customers and support internal reviews.
• Coordinate design projects and manage supplier interfaces and manufacturing aspects.
