Job summary

Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking an experienced Flight Test Instrumentation System Design Engineer to architect and develop instrumentation systems for test aircraft on the F-35 program. The role involves integrating instrumentation hardware, data acquisition, and communications to capture flight data.

You will lead installation, calibration, and troubleshooting, maintain configuration control, and coordinate with test ops and maintenance. Travel and extended hours may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of related, professional experience.
• Ability to develop, test, and troubleshoot data acquisition systems.
• Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specs.
• Proficient with multi-meters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, signal generators, spectrum analyzers.
• Master's degree in Engineering is preferred.
• Aircraft systems operations experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Integrate requirements and program new instrumentation data acquisition equipment.
• Oversee installation, checkout, and calibration of data systems.
• Maintain configuration control and mission capability of instrumentation system.
• Coordinate with test ops, maintenance, and management to ensure instrumentation requirements are met.
• Willing to work extended hours and travel as required.
