Job summary

Eyeglass World, Inc. is hiring an Optical Specialist to be a customer-facing leader in-store. You will support pre-exam processes, assist with eyewear selection and final fitting, and ensure a seamless handoff from finish to pickup, all while upholding brand standards.

Ideal candidates bring 1+ year in optical or retail, strong communication skills, and a commitment to top-notch service. This role requires availability on Saturdays, with Sundays off in some locations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year experience in optical, retail, sales, or customer service preferred.
• Strong multitasking, time management and organizational skills required.
• Clear communication and ability to educate customers effectively required.
• Ability to prioritize customer satisfaction at every interaction.

Responsibilities

• Deliver warm, confident, and personalized service at every stage of the visit.
• Guide customers through eyewear selection, final fitting, and product education.
• Ensure customers leave feeling confident in both their eyewear and their experience.
• Assist with patient flow and pre exam screenings to support Optometrists.
• Help ensure smooth transitions between exam, finish, and pickup moments.
• Perform finishing work including final adjustments, inspections and quality checks.
• Prepare orders for pickup and deliver polished, brand aligned handoff.
• Operate with precision and care in order entry, tracking and completion.
