Job summary

VSP Vision is seeking a part-time Optical Outlet Associate in the Tampa area to assist patients and support the Doctor and Office Manager. You will greet customers, explain the process, and help select frames and lenses that fit each patient’s vision, lifestyle, and budget.

The role emphasizes outstanding service, accurate measurements, and effective communication, with opportunities for bonuses or commissions per company policy. A Florida optician license and bilingual skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of related field experience.
• Working knowledge of MS Office.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal communication skills to handle calls and inquiries.
• Strong written communication to document customer situations.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with merchandise selection, fitting frames, and eyewear dispensing.
• Greet customers and explain processes transparently.
• Provide unsurpassed customer service to attract and retain customers.
• Serve as a center of excellence with focus on Right the First Time for patient satisfaction.
• Manage customer transactions at point of sale.
• Inform Office Manager of any office problems noted by staff, doctors, or patients.
• Perform tasks assigned by Office Manager.
