Job summary

Eyeglass World in Charleston is seeking an Optical Specialist to deliver exceptional customer service and guide customers through eyewear selection, fitting, and education. You will support the in-store flow from pre-exam support to pickup and ensure every interaction aligns with the Eyeglass World brand.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year of experience in optical, retail, sales, or customer service, with strong communication and multitasking skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year experience in optical, retail, sales, or customer service required.
• Bilingual abilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver warm, confident, and personalized service at every stage of the visit.
• Guide customers through eyewear selection, final fitting, and product education.
• Ensure customers leave feeling confident in both their eyewear and their experience.
• Perform finishing work including final adjustments, inspections and quality checks.
• Prepare orders for pickup and deliver polished, brand aligned handoff.
• Support order entry, tracking, and timely completion.
• Maintain organized, clean, and efficient finish and retail areas.
• Identify and resolve quality or service issues proactively.
