Qualifications

• Associate's degree required.
• 1–2 years of on‑the‑job training or apprenticeship with applicable certifications/licensures.

Responsibilities

• Design, measure, fit, and adapt lenses and frames according to prescription.
• Verify finished lenses match specifications.
• Assist clients with contact lenses and frame selection.
• Measure facial and eye measurements to coordinate frames and prescriptions.
• Fabricate lenses to prescription specifications.
• Maintain records of prescriptions, orders, and payments.
• Instruct clients on wearing and caring for eyeglasses.
• May heat/bend frames to fit clients.
