Job summary

LensCrafters in Colorado Springs is seeking an EyeCare Advisor to deliver the LensCrafters Experience, greeting customers, explaining tests and services, and helping patients understand prescriptions while supporting the optometrist and retail team.

You will use the POS system, manage paperwork per HIPAA, and stay current with eyewear trends. This part-time role emphasizes excellent service and accuracy in a fast-paced store.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Strong customer service skills (internal and external).
• Knowledge of current fashion trends.
• Strong communicator and listener.
• Problem solving ability.
• Familiarity with cash register, computers and calculators.
• Organization skills.
• Sales skills.
• Strong basic math skills.
• Knowledge of office and store merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers within 30 seconds.
• Promptly answers the telephone (3 rings).
• Explains all required paperwork, tests, products and services.
• Reviews prescriptions and patient information carefully.
• Identifies special needs and consults with Optician/Doctor as needed.
• Operates the POS system and processes payments accurately.
• Explains One Hour processing and delivery times.
• Maintains store displays and appearance per guidelines.
• Responds quickly to promotions with staff communications and POP materials.
• Assists customers in selecting frames and lenses.
• Performs pre-examination testing with accuracy and explains measurements.
• Coaches patients on contact lens care and inventory handling.
• Maintains HIPAA-compliant patient records.
