Job summary

LensCrafters in New York is seeking an EyeCare Advisor for a part-time role. You will greet customers, explain tests and lens options, and support the optometrist and retail team to deliver the LensCrafters Experience.

Responsibilities include pre-examination support, order processing, HIPAA compliance, and maintaining store standards while delivering exceptional customer service. Prior retail or optical experience is preferred; strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Strong customer service skills (internal and external).
• Knowledge of current fashion trends.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• Problem-solving ability.
• Familiarity with cash register, computers and calculators.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers promptly (within 30 seconds).
• Answers the telephone within three rings in a friendly manner.
• Explains required paperwork, tests, products and services.
• Reviews prescriptions or patient information carefully, consulting with an Optician, Managing Doctor or Retail Management when necessary.
