The ideal candidate has a High School diploma and experience with aseptic techniques, sterilization, and instrument assembly. Strong teamwork and communication are essential to ensure patient safety and smooth surgeries.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience with surgical instruments and sterile processing preferred.
• Ability to work under pressure in a surgical environment.

Responsibilities

• Cleans, checks, and maintains surgical instruments; decontaminates and packages according to protocols.
• Assembles instrument trays and implant systems; prioritizes instrument processing.
• Uses standard precautions; decontaminates and segregates reusable items.
• Washes instruments; operates ultrasonic cleaners, steam autoclaves; maintains logs.
• Notifies Surgery Manager of repairs; coordinates supplies and replacement parts.
• Performs additional tasks as needed; supports safety and training.
