Job summary

Warby Parker in Fort Worth, TX is seeking an Optometric Technician to work with our optometrists, manage high patient volumes, and support pre-testing and contact lens routines. Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a medical environment supporting doctors.
• Completion of an Optometric Technician training program or CPOT certification.
• Familiar with healthcare technology systems and equipment (EMR systems, retinal cameras, exam room equipment).
• Working knowledge of G Suite.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary liaison between doctor and patient.
• Perform preliminary clinical data collection (autorefraction, visual acuity, eye pressure, pupil testing, ocular motility, retinal imaging, lensometry).
• Support in-person and video assisted eye exam appointments.
• Deliver insertion/removal training to new contact lens wearers and train team members.
• Manage patient flow through the eye exam process.
• Maintain accurate records of collected data.
• Prepare reports for other medical professionals as needed.
• Ensure HIPAA/privacy compliance and company procedures.
• Prepare and maintain an organized exam room with supplies and cleanliness.
• Support the retail sales team as directed by Store Leader.
