Job summary

Talentify is seeking a Clinical Specialist/Optometric Assistant to help ensure a great patient experience by preparing patients for onsite and remote examinations, performing pre-exam diagnostics, and explaining every step of the process. The role acts as a liaison between patients and Optometrists and initiates the patient journey.

You will support EMR data entry, assist with both in-person and remote eye exams, coordinate with retail staff, preauthorize insurance, and maintain accurate patient

Qualifications

• One year of related experience in optical or healthcare settings.
• Medical office professionalism and patient-facing experience.
• Ability to learn and use EMR systems and pre-testing tools.

Responsibilities

• Complete patient registration and collect medical history in EMR.
• Assist onsite doctor with eye examinations and document results in EMR.
• Assist remote eye exams, including pre-testing, video conferencing, and extra testing.
• Transition patients to retail staff with doctor recommendations.
• Schedule appointments and manage exam books, handle no-shows/cancellations.
• Instruct patients on contact lens care and handle orders.
• Maintain equipment and clinical supplies; ensure a clean environment.
