Job summary

Workstream is seeking a Technician to perform preliminary testing, document patient medical history and testing results, and prepare exam rooms for doctors. You will handle contact lens orders and maintain inventory while ensuring HIPAA compliance and high patient satisfaction.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, at least one year in customer service, ABOC testing within the first year, and experience with EHR systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of one year experience in customer service.
• Must complete ABOC testing within first year of employment.
• Optical experience preferred.
• Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) preferred.
• Strong computer skills and ability to enter patient information accurately.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Performs all preliminary and any doctor requested testing on patients.
• Accurately document patient\'s medical history and testing results.
• Prepare and clean exam rooms for doctor to perform exams on patients.
• Receive and verify contact lens orders for patients.
• Order and keep inventory of contact lens stock, trial lenses, solutions, vitamins, and eye drops.
• Instruct new contact lens wearers on insertion and removal.
• Comply with company policies, government regulations and HIPAA guidelines.
• Performs all other duties as assigned by management.
