Job summary

EyeCare Partners is seeking an Optometric Technician to support a doctor in delivering a world class Total Patient Experience. You will assist with preliminary testing and prepare patients for exams using optical equipment.

The role requires attention to HIPAA, teamwork, and the ability to handle busy schedules; candidates should have a high school diploma and at least 1 year in customer-facing roles. Full benefits, PTO, maternity leave, and Eyecare certification reimbursement are offered.

Qualifications

• Previous medical office experience preferred; ophthalmic experience strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year in a customer/patient facing role or equivalent education/experience.
• Favorable background check as required by state
• Must provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Embrace Total Patient Experience to build relationships with patients while delivering medical support.
• Comply with company policies including HIPAA.
• Demonstrate urgency to respect patient and doctor schedules.
• Operate optical testing equipment (manual lensometer, auto-lensometer, autorefractor/keratometer, retinal camera, visual field, GDX or OCT).
• Follow testing scripts for equipment (photos, visual fields, visual activity).
• Clean examination equipment including tonometer tip.
• Interact professionally with all staff levels.
• Perform general office duties and cleaning as assigned.
• Create a positive, team-oriented, patient-focused environment.
• Meet business needs, including weekend hours or extended schedules.
