• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Certified Patient Services Specialist is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Provides high level customer service in all interactions with internal and external customers.
• Provides direct, professional, and knowledgeable interactions with patients, providers, referral sources, and the clinical team.
• Answers telephone calls accurately with exceptional service and collects necessary information.
• Maintains patient confidentiality regarding access to patient information via email, computer, fax, and mail.
• Addresses patient concerns, performs service recovery, and escalates issues as needed.
• Schedules patient appointments following operational guidelines.
• Completes reminder calls for scheduled appointments.
• Obtains payments from patients and receipts all monies collected.
• Verifies eligibility and registers patients with demographics and third-party coverage.
