Job summary

EyeCare Partners is seeking a Front Office Specialist to welcome patients and set the tone for a world class Total Patient Experience. You will handle essential front desk duties and support smooth check-in and check-out processes.

In this role you will provide excellent customer service, answer calls, manage appointment flow, verify insurance where needed, and ensure HIPAA compliance while maintaining a friendly, professional environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in a position interacting with customers/patients or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous medical office experience preferred; optometry/ophthalmology exposure valued.
• Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Embrace and execute our Total Patient Experience to build relationships with all patients while delivering great service and support.
• Provide exceptional customer service during every patient encounter (in person or via phone).
• Greet patients promptly with a smile and thank them when they leave.
• Answer phones (both external and internal) and ensure prompt, courteous service.
• Practice urgency with consideration to the patient’s time and doctor’s schedule.
• Double check insurance authorizations to ensure completion and accurate flow sheets.
• Check out patients and collect payments according to procedures.
• Manage patient flow in the office and communicate to maximize efficiency.
• Complete daily reconciliations / close day / count cash drawer.
• Comply with HIPAA and company policies.
• General office duties and cleaning as assigned.
