Job summary

The Eye Associates, an affiliate of Eye Health America, seeks a friendly front desk receptionist in Sarasota, FL. You will greet patients, check them in, verify insurance, collect authorizations, process payments, and schedule visits, helping keep the front desk organized to deliver exceptional patient care.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, reliable transportation, and prior eye care or medical office experience is a plus. We offer benefits and opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check-in patients in an orderly and professional manner.
• Scan patients’ insurance cards and driver’s licenses.
• Document all patient demographic information.
• Collect proper authorizations and/or referrals from patients.
• Handle patient check-out processes, including processing charges, collecting fees, and scheduling next appointments.
• Monitor past-due accounts and collect payments.
• Maintain and balance a personal cash drawer daily.
• Evaluate chart data for completeness and accuracy.

Hours vary depending on the doctor’s schedules. Overtime may be required.

Responsibilities:
