Qualifications

• One year of related experience.
• Optical or Healthcare background preferred.
• Medical office professionalism required.
• HS diploma, GED or equivalent related job experience.
• Training provided.

Responsibilities

• Completing patient registration and gathering medical history into EMR.
• Assist onsite doctor with eye examinations and document results in EMR.
• Support remote eye exams including pre-testing, testing, and video conferencing.
• Transition patient to a retail associate with doctor recommendations.
• Preauthorize insurance and schedule appointments per guidelines.
• Maintain patient flow and answer clinical questions.
• Instruct patients on contact lens handling and orders.
