Job summary

Exxon is seeking an Assistant Manager for our Rocky Mount, NC location to oversee daily guest service within the convenience store concept. The ASM will handle transactions on a POS system, ensure a clean and well-stocked food and beverage area, and uphold food quality, sanitation and safety standards.

The role requires good grooming, strong communication, and cash handling skills. You should be capable of standing up to 8 hours and lifting 35–50 pounds as part of a fast-paced retail environment.

As Assistant Convenience Store Manager (ASM ), you will be responsible for serving each guest courteously, quickly and efficiently with a sincere, positive, pleasant and enthusiastic attitude. ASM will also be responsible for processing transactions of customers on a computerized POS register, maintain a clean, well-stocked food and beverage area, and clean and stock merchandise. When working within the QSR food concept the ASM must insure that all company procedures are followed and all standards for food quality, cleanliness, sanitation and customer service are met.

A qualified candidate will be required to have good grooming, communication skills and cash handling skills. This position requires you to stand for up to 8 hours during a shift and be able to lift up to 35 to 50 pounds. This position also requires you to use motion that entails pushing, pulling, stretching and continuous bilateral use of fingers and wrists.
