The Assistant Manager supervises c-store staff and daily operations to ensure that safety, guest service, cleanliness and inventory control standards are maintained. This may include scheduling and supervising staff. The ASM will also be able to run the retail operation in the absence of the Store Manager. Exceptional customer service is a major component of this position.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience in restaurant or retail operations, preferably with supervisory experience. Requires excellent communication skills, ability to deal with all levels of employees. Computer knowledge is desirable.
Must be able to work any area of the c-store when needed and to operate a computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. Position requires bending, standing, and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
C-Store environment with some exposure to discomforting conditions, including hot and cold temperatures, humidity, and noise from cooling units. Physical demands are moderately heavy, limited to lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds and occasionally climbing of ladders. Will be on your feet throughout the entire shift.
