Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a Trim and Moulding Extrusion Operator in the rotating shift schedule. You will work with lead operators and stackers to execute daily department goals while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Starting pay is $17/hour with an increase to $18/hour after training, plus a $1.25/hour night shift differential for night rotation. Full benefits are described in the company information and training opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• OSHA forklift training is required.
• Basic math and computer skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up dies, extrusion machines and auxiliary equipment.
• Observe machine operation to detect defects or malfunctions and adjust heater, water, vacuum, pressure, screw and conveyor speeds.
• Conduct quality checks by measuring product dimensions with precision calipers.
• Move finished profile and prepare skids for shipment.
• Handle scrap and defective boards to scrap racks and transport to recycling.
• Fill hopper and perform minor machine maintenance such as lubrication and cleaning dies.
• Take hourly readings of machine gauges and document results on run sheets.
• Perform Oracle transactions to track material inventory levels.
• Count and report production and inventory at end of shift.
• Train and mentor stackers.
• Attend plant EHS training and follow guidelines.
