Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands, Inc. in Tennessee seeks a Machine Operator 1 for a night shift on a 2-2-3 schedule to learn extrusion line operations for vinyl siding products. Base pay is $19.50 per hour plus a $1 shift differential for night hours.

As a training position, you will verify equipment status, perform quality assurance checks, assist with changeovers and line checks, and maintain a safe, clean working environment while developing essential mechanical and QA skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Six months of related or production experience required.
• Must read, write and have working knowledge of machine mechanics.
• Must have good mechanical and math aptitude.
• Must be able to operate a computer and ten key; lift up to 86 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Learn to operate extrusion lines and produce vinyl siding products.
• Verify equipment status and perform start-up checks.
• Conduct quality assurance tests on finished product.
• Notify supervision of deviations for corrective action.
• Assist with machine changeovers and line checks.
• Maintain cleanliness and safe working conditions on the extrusion line.
