Job summary

Oldcastle is seeking an Extrusion Operator II to manage extrusion lines and related equipment. You will prepare lines, monitor profiles, conduct readings, and maintain quality while adhering to safety practices.

As part of a manufacturing team, you will perform line start-ups, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance coordination. The role emphasizes reliability, accuracy, and teamwork in a fast-paced plant environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of experience in the plastics extrusion field.
• Verbal and written English communications required.
• Read and understand all product specifications documentation.
• Must pass the Extrusion Operators Training course within 90 days of hiring.
• Ability to lift up to 65 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operate extrusion lines and related equipment, including start/stop/shut-down procedures.
• Prepare equipment for start-up and ensure proper setup for profiles.
• Clean extrusion equipment and maintain readiness for operation.
• Record readings and ensure product meets profile specifications.
• Report equipment failures or safety issues to supervisor or team lead.
• Create work orders for maintenance and coordinate with mold techs as needed.
• Order materials to sustain line production and assist packaging operations.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow SOPs.
