Job summary

Commercial Metals is seeking a production-oriented team member to operate equipment, monitor quality, and support shift transitions. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork within our facilities.

You will perform manual tasks, follow procedures, and adapt to changing priorities while upholding company safety standards and quality control.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform physical tasks including climbing, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching.
• Must be able to lift 75 pounds, climb ladders and work outside in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate production equipment and monitor output quality and machine performance.
• Confirm work receipt and complete required paperwork.
• Adapt to changing priorities and implement plans to meet goals.
• Adjust machines using hand tools and seek clarifications as needed.
• Perform quality inspections on own work to meet standards.
• Convey shift carry-over information to incoming operators during transitions.
• Maintain an organized workstation and follow safety policies.

What You'll Do

• Operate production equipment and monitor the quality of output and machine performance
• Confirm work receipt and complete other required paperwork
• Adapting to changing priorities; making plans to achieve those goals and implementing them
• Adjust machines using company-supplied hand tools and minor maintenance; asking questions and getting clarifications as needed
• Work independently performing quality inspections on own work to meet production standards
• Ensure that all pertinent information related to shift carry-over, including job and machine status, is conveyed to the incoming operators during shift transitions.
• Maintain an organized workstation
• Attend appropriate training and meetings as requiredAlways adhere to company safety policies and procedures
