Job summary

CMC seeks motivated team members to join our manufacturing operations across steel fabrication and processing sites. You will train on equipment, support loading/unloading, and operate production machines to contribute to safe, high-quality production.

This role emphasizes training, teamwork, and adherence to safety standards in a dynamic environment. Work outdoors under varied weather conditions with PPE; stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and Crosstrain across multiple machines as

Qualifications

• Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions, including heat and cold.
• Industrial environment experience and PPE usage required.
• Follow OSHA/EPA safety policies and company rules.

Responsibilities

• Attend training on applicable equipment.
• Assist in loading fabricated rebar on trailers and unloading stock material from trailers.
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
• Attend required training and operate production machines per procedures.
• Participate in CMC Safety Programs and uphold Safety Culture.
• Crosstrain on multiple machines and set up/monitor/adjust shop equipment.
• Able to work as part of a fast-paced team and locate root causes for issues.

What You'll Do

• Attend training regarding applicable equipment
• Perform additional duties as needed
• Assist in loading fabricated rebar on trailers and unloading stock material from trailers
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
• Attend required training on all relevant equipment and operate production machines in accordance with established procedures and guidelines
• Participate in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively uphold the CMC Safety Culture
• Crosstrain on multiple machines
• Ability to efficiently set-up, operate, monitor and adjust shop equipment to ensure a conforming product This can include the furnaces, straighteners, saws and shot blast

What You'll Need

• Must be able to work outside under all weather conditions to include working in the heat and cold weather
• Ability to work in a safety conscious industrial environment including use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
• Follow OSHA, EPA, and company safety policies, rules, and regulations
• Ability to work as a team player in a fast paced environment, with strong work ethic, pay attention to detail and find root causes for issues
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders and steps, work outside under all weather conditions
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time, stretch, bend and use hands and fingers in repetitive motions
• Must possess work ethic and ability to be punctual
