Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands, Inc. is seeking an Extrusion Maintenance Technician II for the 2nd Shift to support manufacturing operations by handling maintenance requests and performing simple repairs. Candidates should have a high school diploma and some relevant experience.

Extrusion Maintenance Technician II 2nd Shift

Position Type: Permanent
Shift: 2nd Shift – 3pm to 3am Sunday to Friday

Job Details

Pay: $19.50 – $23.50 plus $1 per hour shift differential
Location: 2870 N Harvey Mitchel Pkwy #400, Bryan, TX 77807

Duties and Responsibilities

This apprenticeship position includes:

• Support manufacturing operations by responding to maintenance calls and completing simple repairs.
• Troubleshoot equipment in a timely manner; call for additional support on complex problems.
• Learn and support manufacturing equipment recipe changes and control adjustments.
• Understand and maintain/adjust basic drivetrain and powertrain components.
• Perform mechanical preventative maintenance tasks following instructions.
• Start up and shut down equipment per established procedures and schedules.
• Enter all work completed in computer‑based maintenance program.
• Monitor and report spare parts usage, including completing parts order forms.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• In progress of obtaining an associate degree in a related field – desired.
• Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Basic knowledge in mechanical repairs and troubleshooting techniques.
• Proficient in Word and Excel.
• Willing to attend training sessions as needed, including out‑of‑state locations.
• Basic understanding of electrical safety and motor control circuits.
• Basic understanding of electrical principles such as voltage, current, and resistance.
• Familiar with electrical measurement devices (voltage meters, micrometers).
• Basic knowledge of pneumatic systems.
• Ability to use Windows‑based software programs.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong work ethic and ability to troubleshoot.
• Skilled in following directives of senior level technicians and/or supervision.
• Prefer some basic metal fabrication and welding experience.
• Knowledge and experience with Lock‑Out, Tag‑Out procedures.
• Flexible and willing to work various maintenance shifts.
