Job summary

Hydro Extrusion USA, LLC in Gainesville, GA is seeking a Safety‑minded forklift operator for immediate hire. You will operate the forklift safely, load and unload materials, and manage scrap and log tables to support extrusion production.

This role requires the ability to work any shift and to lift up to 100 lbs repetitively. Experience in extrusion operations and knowledge of extrusion processes and quality measures are preferred.

Qualifications

• The ability to work any shift is required.
• Must demonstrate the ability to safely lift up to 100 lbs. on a repetitive basis, with a partner.
• Previous extrusion operation experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of extrusion process and quality measures is desirable.
• HSD or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safe and efficient operation of the forklift at all times.
• Remove scrap from the saws and presses.
• Load scrap in trailers and keep separated by alloy to maximize load density.
• Maintain log tables with the proper size and alloy as requested by the press operators.
• Unload log truck upon arrival and keep log yard organized.
• Perform pre-shift equipment inspections daily.
• Report any property damage.

What you will be doing

• Perform all duties in a safe and responsible manner.
• Safe and efficient operation of the fork lift at all times.
• Remove scrap from the saws and presses.
• Empty butt hoppers.
• Load scrap in trailers and keep separated by alloy- maximize load density.
• Maintain full log tables with the proper size and alloy as requested by the press operators.
• Unload log truck upon arrival.
• Maintain and organize log tables and log yard.
• Work efficiently while unsupervised.
• Ensure a smooth transition during shift changes- leave the next crew the way that you would like to be left.
• Safety: Pedestrians always have the right of way.
• Perform pre-shift equipment inspections daily.
• Report any property damage.
