Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking an entry-level Production Operator for the extrusion line, focusing on assembling window material components, following safety rules in a fast-paced environment. The role involves repetitive tasks on an assembly line, lifting up to 50 lbs, operating hand and power tools, and cross-training across departments; 2nd shift 2pm-10pm, Monday through Friday.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Shifts Available: 2nd shift 2pm-10pm M-F

The Extrusion Operator is responsible for the fabrication and production of the component parts for the final assembly of windows. Successful candidates enjoy working in a fast-paced, physically demanding, and repetitive work environment, which includes heavy lifting or working with your hands. This job description is reflective of tasks that will be performed in a variety of departments.

• The Production Operator position is an entry-level team member responsible for assembling building material components
• This dedicated team member performs one or more repetitive jobs on an assembly line under the direct supervision and repetitively assembles window material components
• Processes include insertion or positioning of materials, clamping, splicing, fitting parts, and use of both hand and power tools
• Understands and observes all safety procedures and practices in order to prevent injury to self or co-workers

Qualifications

• Lifting requirements: 20 lbs. frequently; 40 lbs. occasionally for light production; and 40 lbs. frequently and 50 lbs. occasionally for heavy production.
• Ability to read a tape measure
