Position Summary:

We are seeking a motivated, experienced External Life Insurance Wholesaler to drive life insurance sales through strategic partnerships with independent agents, agencies, financial advisors, and broker-dealers. This field-facing role focuses on territory development, relationship building, and delivering tailored solutions to help producers grow their business with APIM’s product offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive Sales Growth: Proactively identify and cultivate new producer relationships, expand business with existing partners, and promote life insurance products across your assigned territory.
• Product Expertise: Deliver expert-level knowledge of life insurance carriers, product features, underwriting niches, and sales strategies.
• Consultative Support: Partner with internal wholesalers and case design teams to provide agents with customized illustrations, advanced planning support, and field underwriting guidance.
• Training & Presentations: Conduct in-person and virtual training sessions, webinars, and one-on-one meetings to educate agents and advisors on products and sales techniques.
• Market Development: Attend industry conferences, networking events, and host regional workshops to promote APIM and increase visibility.
• Pipeline Management: Maintain accurate sales pipeline data, activity logs, and forecasting via CRM tools.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3–5 years of external wholesaling or life insurance sales experience.
• Strong knowledge of life insurance products (Term, UL, IUL, Whole Life, etc.).
• Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Existing relationships with independent agents, BGAs, or RIAs preferred.
