Steno is growing! We’re looking for in‑person legal videographers to join our winning team as independent contractors. We are revolutionizing the court reporting industry every single day with a diverse team from all over the country (and beyond). Who are you?

We’re looking for experienced videographers in the court reporting industry who own and can operate the latest and greatest video and audio technology, who have a proven track record of handling “hybrid” video jobs (in‑person and remote participants), and who will handle themselves with professionalism and warmth toward the entire legal community.

You’re gonna crush it if

• You are reliable and capable of delivering high‑quality work
• You have impeccable attention to detail and a client‑service mindset
• You have strong communication skills, and you know how to adjust your approach based on the audience
• You have experience doing picture‑in‑picture and multi‑camera shoots
• Note: If you are in California, a Notary Public license is particularly helpful

What happens next?

• As part of this application, you should communicate your rate card/rate information by completing our videographer intake questionnaire
• Once you apply, we’ll review your compatibility with Steno’s workload and geography and our policies and protocols, among other things, and, if you’re a good fit for Steno, we’ll contact you to discuss next steps
• Once we have an agreement on terms in place, we’ll onboard you into our system, and make job information available to you asap
• After your job is completed (you’ve submitted your video files and worksheet), you should expect to receive payment from Steno within 30 business days
