Job summary

Live! Casino Pittsburgh is seeking a Cage Assistant Shift Manager to support the Cage Shift Manager in overseeing the cage department during a shift.

You will supervise cage and vault personnel to ensure accurate cash handling and a safe, compliant gaming environment. The role requires a four-year degree or equivalent casino experience, ability to obtain a gaming license, strong analytical skills, and proven leadership.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience in casino cage operations with slots and table games.
• Able to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license.
• Ability to read and interpret complex regulatory documents.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise cage personnel on assigned shift to ensure accurate cash handling.
• Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures.
• Manage processes to reduce loss time injuries.
• Review staffing levels to meet budgeted employment.
• Delegate authority and assign responsibilities.
• Develop staff through training and performance management.

The Cage Assistant Shift Manager is accountable and responsible assisting the Cage Shift Manager in the operation of the cage department on a shift basis. Supervises all cage, and vault/ bank personnel in the performance of their duties to ensure that all guests have an enjoyable gaming experience.

• Ensure all policies and procedures are followed.
• Manages process and procedures to control and reduce loss time injuries.
• Review staffing levels to maintain budgeted employment.
• Delegate authority and assign responsibilities.
• Development of staff to include training interviewing for hires, performance management to include disciplinary counseling up to and including termination and conducting performance evaluation.
• Completes daily audits necessary forCageoperationsto satisfy auditingand regulatory requirements.
• Manages department financial data.
• Review cage shift activities with Cage Shift Manager.
• Meet with departmental directors and managers as necessary.
• Ability to extend complimentaries in accordance with the property comp matrix.

Qualifications

• A four (4)-year degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field or equivalent work experiencein casinocage operationsin a casino environment that includes Slot /Slotmachines and Table Games.

• Ability to read complex documents and understand state and local tax laws, banking codes, gaming laws and regulations.
