Job summary

Live! Casino Pittsburgh is seeking a Cage Assistant Shift Manager to support the Cage Shift Manager and supervise cage and vault personnel, ensuring accurate handling of funds and guest experience. You will ensure policy adherence and regulatory compliance on a shift basis.

The role requires a four-year degree in a related field or equivalent casino cage experience, and the ability to obtain a gaming license. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• A four-year degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field or equivalent work experience in casino cage operations.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license as required by the State Gaming Agency.
• Ability to analyze and interpret departmental needs and results.
• Ability to read complex documents and understand state and local tax laws, banking codes, gaming laws and regulations.
• Ability to solve complex problems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the cage personnel on assigned shift to ensure accurate control over casino funds.
• Ensure all policies and procedures are followed.
• Manage processes to control and reduce loss time injuries.
• Review staffing levels to maintain budgeted employment.
• Delegate authority and assign responsibilities.
• Development of staff including training, interviewing for hires, performance management including disciplinary counseling up to termination and conducting performance evaluations.
• Complete daily audits necessary for Cage operations to satisfy auditing and regulatory requirements.
• Manage department financial data.
• Review cage shift activities with Cage Shift Manager.
• Meet with departmental directors and managers as necessary.
• Ability to extend complementaries in accordance with the property comp matrix.
• Other duties as assigned.
