Advantage Technical is seeking a Product Engineer - Body Exterior to help bridge design, engineering, and manufacturing for hybrid work arrangements in Dearborn, MI. Youll lead assessments, define hard points, and collaborate across teams to bring exterior vehicle concepts to life.

The role emphasizes CAD ownership (2D/3D), involvement with liftgates and tailgates, and evaluating manufacturing compatibility for sheet metal and molded parts. A strong mechanical background is essential.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Product Engineering, Design & Release, Vehicle Integration, or Body Exterior Engineering.
• Strong CAD skills and ability to create engineering sections and packaging studies.

Responsabilidades

• Lead feasibility assessments for exterior systems and surfaces.
• Develop engineering hard points and master section guidance.
• Collaborate with design, engineering, and supplier teams to resolve feasibility challenges.
• Create and review 2D and 3D CAD solutions.
• Support rear-end system development (liftgates, tailgates, bumpers, fascia, lighting).
• Evaluate manufacturing compatibility for sheet metal and molded components.
