Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle, Inc. is seeking an Exterior Technician for our Thousand Oaks campus. The role involves routine exterior repairs, maintenance, and component replacement on building exteriors, fences, doors, and outdoor amenities.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of construction or building engineering related experience; Trade or Maintenance License preferred.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience in working a regulated work environment.
• Good communication, client service, and follow up skills.
• Proven ability to work without direct day to day supervision.
• Good customer service, team player who builds and maintains relationships.
• Experienced with various types of hand tools and use of diagnostic equipment; physically able to operate electric hand tools, work on a ladder, and carry tools.
• Must have ability to regularly lift up to 25 lbs and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must have the ability to safely perform overhead work while standing on ladders up to 28 ft.
• Must have the ability to regularly walk, bend, stoop, crouch, crawl, lift, push, pull, etc.
• Be able to walk and work in an outdoor environment.
• Possess safety and mechanical aptitude.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Ability to diagnose problems, make sound decisions, prioritize, schedule and complete multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• General exterior maintenance and minor repairs of outdoor fixtures and surfaces.
• Paint building exterior surfaces and perform general handyman tasks.
• Support landscaping by maintaining campus walkways and grounds.
• Conduct exterior facility walks to identify repairs.
• Remove debris and maintain clean exterior environments.
• Perform site inspections and report conditions affecting occupancy.
• Audit exterior signage and generate work orders for replacements.
• Document performance and materials procurement as directed.
• Generate work orders for additional repairs as needed.
• Escort vendors and assist with event setups as required.
