Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated, Thousand Oaks, CA, is seeking an Exterior Technician to maintain building exteriors, perform minor repairs, paint, and support campus grounds. You will work on external structures, fencing, and outdoor facilities with a focus on safety and quality.

The role requires 2+ years in construction or building maintenance, good communication, and the ability to work with diverse stakeholders. Shift: Tue–Sat 7:00 am–3:30 pm, onsite.

Exterior Technician - JLL

As an Exterior Technician at JLL, you will be responsible for keeping our campus exterior facilities in excellent condition. You will perform routine repairs, maintenance, restoration, and component replacement on building exterior structures, bollards and safety barriers, outdoor furniture, fencing and gates, exterior doors, and sports courts and athletic fields. Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• General exterior maintenance – minor masonry work, minor repairs of patio furniture, exterior adjusting/tightening/replacing light fixtures, replacing lightbulbs, patch, and paint (railings, exterior walls, tables, and chairs, etc.)
• Prepare, prime, and paint building exterior surfaces and perform general handyman tasks to maintain buildings
• Support landscaping by performing walks around the campus, identifying dead plants, removing weeds and trash in main exterior walkways when applicable
• Perform exterior facility walks of the site including parking lots and roads/grounds to identify and perform repair if applicable
• Remove debris off walkways and in landscape
• Perform grounds maintenance on the parking lot, exterior building, and surrounding ground areas to provide a clean environment
• Perform assigned facility and site inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on as-found conditions impacting satisfactory client occupancy and operations
• Perform audits of exterior signage across the site and repair as applicable or generate work orders for signage replacements when required
• Comply with all policies for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials
• Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs
• Complete special tasks that include but are not limited to general maintenance as assigned
• Escort vendors when required
• Assist in event support and with last-minute conference room and area setups when needed
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Complete hazard assessments as necessary
• Document work performance and materials procurement as directed
• Generate work orders if additional repair is required
• All other duties assigned

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of construction or building engineering related experience
• Trade or Maintenance License preferred
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Experience in working a regulated work environment
• Good communication, client service, and follow-up skills
• Proven ability to work without direct day-to-day supervision
• Good customer service, team player who builds and maintains relationships
• Experienced with various types of hand tools and use of diagnostic equipment
• Physically able to operate electric hand tools, work on a ladder, and carry tools
• Must have ability to regularly lift up to 25 lbs and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must have the ability to safely perform overhead work while standing on ladders up to 28 ft
• Must have the ability to regularly walk, bend, stoop, crouch, crawl, lift, push, pull, etc. in order to test and perform maintenance
• Be able to walk and work in an outdoor environment
• Possess safety and mechanical aptitude
• Basic computer skills required
• Ability to diagnose problems, make sound decisions, prioritize, schedule and complete multiple tasks

Location & Hours

Location: Onsite - Thousand Oaks, CA

Work Shift: Tuesday to Saturday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm + Respond to emergency calls based on business needs

Salary & Compensation

Salary/Comp: $25,48 + OT

Expected compensation for this position: 53,000.00 - 53,352.00 USD per year. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
