JOB SUMMARY:
The Machine Operator is responsible for operating all aspects of line machinery. To be successful, a Machine Operator must demonstrate high attention to detail, the skill to produce accurate work, and a commitment to working safely.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
TOOLS USED: Include but are not limited to: chop saw, table saw, rip saw, hand saw, router, nail gun, screw gun, door machine, various pneumatic tools, and drills.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or GED and one to two years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. CNC Machine Experience Required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one or small group situations.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
OTHER SKILLS/CERTIFICATION: Might require forklift certification, depending upon branch requirements.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
