Job description

Job Title: Draw Operator/Surfacing Operator

Location: Southbridge, MA

Position Type: Full-time, direct hire with benefits starting on day #1

Shifts Available: 1st shift (6am-2:30pm), 2nd shift (2pm-10:30pm), or 3rd shift (10pm-6:30am), Sunday night through Friday morning

Qualifications:

• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated and results-oriented.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Good manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination.
• US Person status may be required due to the nature of work performed at this facility.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate various types of belt draw towers under close supervision; operate multiple draw towers simultaneously.
• Perform visual and mechanical inspections to ensure product quality according to process specifications; escalate questionable products to experienced operators.
• Perform routine machine and equipment maintenance and inspections.
• Maintain housekeeping practices in accordance with the departmental 5S program.
• Meet utilization targets and adhere to standard times.
• Accurately record transactions in Database/SAP systems.
• Maintain daily records, including labor sheets and routers.
• Observe and follow all Environmental, Health, and Safety rules and procedures.
