Job summary

Covenant Logistics is seeking an Extended Coverage Captive Customer Account Manager to provide after-hours customer support, monitor shipments, and coordinate with Fleet Management, Planning, Safety, Maintenance and other teams to protect commitments.

You will serve as the primary Extended Coverage owner for assigned Captive accounts, maintain proactive communications, track loads, and resolve service risks with independent judgment across multiple accounts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain, or similar field required.
• 2+ years of relevant customer service or account management experience required.
• Prior experience in transportation or logistics environment highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary Extended Coverage customer-facing resource for assigned Captive accounts.
• Maintain proactive customer communication regarding shipment status, ETA changes, service risks, delays, capacity concerns, and operational issues.
• Monitor and trace shipments to ensure loads progress according to customer requirements and appointment expectations.
• Coordinate with Fleet Management regarding driver availability, ETAs, service risks, and operational changes affecting commitments.
• Respond to service failures, accidents, and disruptions from the customer/account perspective and coordinate resolution.
