Job summary

The Horsham Clinic in Montgomery County, near Philadelphia, seeks an energetic Activity Therapist to join its behavioral health team. You will lead trauma-informed group therapies and psycho-education aligned with dialectical behavior therapy, conducting skills training and expressive therapy groups for children, adolescents and adults.

A Masters degree and certification in Creative Arts Therapies (music, dance/movement and/or drama) are required.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or higher in a relevant field.
  • Certification in Creative Arts Therapies (music, dance/movement and/or drama) required.
  • Experience with psychiatric patients (adults, adolescents) and hospital settings.
  • Experience leading group therapy sessions is required.
  • Licenses/certifications: CTRS, MT-BC, RDT, R-DMT, LPC (as applicable).

Responsibilities

  • Lead trauma-informed group therapies and psycho-education sessions.
  • Deliver skills training groups and expressive therapy to meet patient needs.
  • Support treatment teams and coordinate activities to promote learning of healthy skills.
  • Provide opportunities for patients to demonstrate healthy adaptive behaviors.
