Job summary

The Horsham Clinic in Montgomery County, PA seeks an Activity Therapist to provide trauma-informed group therapy and expressive therapy grounded in dialectical behavior therapy. The Horsham Clinic is seeking a dynamic and talented Activity Therapist

The Horsham Clinic is a 206-bed, private behavioral healthcare facility located on a beautiful 55-acre suburban campus in Montgomery County. We are minutes from Philadelphia and serve patients and families from southeastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey. The Activity Therapist is also responsible to provide a variety of group therapies consistent with the clinical needs of the population and the philosophy and objectives of The Horsham Clinic.

Job Summary: The Expressive Therapist is an active member of the treatment team responsible for providing trauma informed group therapy and psycho-education routed in the dialectical behavior therapy model. They will lead a variety of skills training groups, process and/or expressive Therapy groups designed to meet the individualized needs of the population served. They is responsible to provide a variety of opportunities for patients to learn and demonstrate healthy adaptive skills. Certification in Creative Arts Therapies (Music, Dance/Movement and/or Drama).

• Demonstrates working knowledge of behavioral mental health, nursing clinical practices, and management


• Knowledge of principles and practices relevant to nursing and patient care activities


• Highly Developed written and verbal communication skills


• 1 or more years of progressive experience in behavioral health setting preferred


• Ability to plan, direct, and monitor others activities with demonstrated leadership abilities that contribute to a positive work environment.
