Job summary

Volvo Cars Seattle is seeking an entry-level Express Service Technician to support the busy express lane in a luxury dealership. You will perform oil changes, tire rotations, and inspections while learning through a clear career path.

The role invites candidates with 1+ year of automotive experience or strong aptitude, with reliable, punctual work ethic. Valid driver’s license required; Volvo or European brand familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• Hands-on automotive experience is preferred or you are starting out and eager to learn in a busy express lane.
• Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance procedures (oil changes, tire rotations, multi-point inspections).
• Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated with consistent output.

Responsibilities

• Perform express maintenance services — oil/filters changes, tire rotations, fluid top-offs, wiper blade replacements, cabin/engine air filter changes, multi-point inspections.
• Identify and communicate additional service needs discovered during inspections to service advisors to support safety and upsell opportunities.
• Follow Volvo express lane procedures and safety standards on every vehicle.
• Work accurately and efficiently so the express lane moves quickly without sacrificing quality.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 1+ year of automotive technician, lube tech, or express service experience preferred -- candidates with less experience who demonstrate strong aptitude and work ethic are encouraged to apply
• Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance procedures -- oil changes, tire rotations, and multi-point inspections
• Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated -- the express lane depends on consistent output every shift
• Volvo or European brand familiarity a plus -- not required
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
