Job summary

Express Tech in Pasadena, TX is seeking a Full Time Service Technician to join our brand-new, air-conditioned service area. You will diagnose, repair, and service vehicles to factory standards while delivering excellent customer satisfaction.

Candidates must be ASE certified, able to lift up to 50 pounds, and comfortable working weekends. We offer competitive pay, benefits, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Perform automotive repairs and service to store and factory standards while ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Diagnose and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, and air conditioning.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
• Test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs.
• Explain diagnoses and required repairs in non-technical terms to service advisors and customers.
• Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions.
• Inspect and test new vehicles.
• Follow all company safety policies and report any accidents to a manager.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Position Summary

Classification : Full Time, Weekends as Needed; Non- Exempt

Reports To : Service Manager

Essential Duties include but are not limited to:

• Perform automotive repairs and service in accordance with store and factory standards while ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, etc. to specification .
• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
• Test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs.
• Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers.
• Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology.
• Inspect and test new vehicles.
• Must follow all company safety policies and procedures and immediately report any and all accidents to a manager or supervisor.
• Other Duties May be assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Able to lift to 50 pounds
• Able to work on your feet, with hands and arms, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl for extended periods of time
• Able to work individually as well as part of a team.

Relevant Work Experience & Other Requirements:

• Must meet dealerships requirements for employment which include background check and drug screening
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable based on driving record.
• Must be a minimum of eighteen years of age
• Must be punctual and reliable.
• Must be ASE certified

• Must be able to sit, stand, and/ or walk for extended periods of time
