Job summary

Meijer is seeking a store leadership professional to oversee day-to-day operations in our Waterville Township, OH store. You will lead staffing, training, customer service focus, and sales performance while ensuring retail standards and a positive shopping experience.

Responsibilities include supervising team members, coaching for advancement, managing scheduling, and upholding Meijer policies. Candidates should have 2–3 years of retail experience and at least 1 year of management experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–3 years of related retail experience.
• 1 year of management experience.
• Experience with staffing, scheduling, and store operations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a positive company image with courteous, friendly service to customers and team members.
• Oversee staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Promote career development and succession planning for team members.
• Document disciplinary actions and make recommendations on discharge.
• Manage P&L, drive sales and control shrink in the department.
• Model fast, friendly, exceptional customer service.
• Communicate the Meijer Friendly Initiative in meetings and conversations.
• Mentor team members to exceed service and sales goals.
• Ensure staff training and completion of required training.
• Spend most time in-store talking with customers and team members to deliver outstanding service.
• Maintain a safe work environment and reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
