Job summary

Southern Auto Group in Chesapeake, VA is seeking a trained Lube Technician for full-time work. Candidate should have at least 2 years of dealer-level or equivalent automotive experience, or relevant training, to perform oil changes and quick lube tasks efficiently.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, ASE certification (or willingness to obtain), and an unrestricted driver’s license with a clean record. Expect a customer-service oriented, fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Diagnose oil and filter selection for proper maintenance.
• Perform routine service inspections and maintenance tasks.
• Maintain vehicle exterior cleanliness during oil changes.
• Report issues to the Service Advisor.
• Ensure documentation complies with regulations and standards.
• Assist with inventory and general shop duties.
• Follow shop policies, safety rules, and environmental guidelines.
• Attend staff meetings and training.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
