Job summary

Bank of China Limited, New York Branch is seeking an Associate to support daily export Letter of Credit operations and related compliance tasks. You will check L/C documents, participate in discounting, and prepare reports for management, while ensuring adherence to UCP/ISP98, ISBP, T24 and regulatory requirements.

The role also covers client communication, documentation filing, and training of new staff on system operations and risk controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s Degree preferred.
• Internship experience in banking industry preferred.
• Knowledge in regulations and compliance for trade services and trade finance operations.
• CDCS certification preferred.
• Bilingual abilities in Mandarin preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate L/C document examination, LC discounting, and payments per assignment.
• Conduct first/second checks for L/C documents and prepare daily/monthly reports.
• File documentation and transaction records; communicate to resolve issues.
• Provide L/C training on UCP/ISP98, ISBP, T24 and related systems.
• Support compliance and risk control with audits and regulatory requirements.
